Requesting a Feature
Missing something you need? Ask for it. Feature requests go straight to the Informativ team (Admin and Root), and you can follow what happens to each one.
Sending a Request
Go to Dashboard β Feature Requests β Request a Feature. Give it a short title, pick which part of Informativ it's about (Events, Venues, Equipment, Payments, Mobile App and so on), say how important it is to you, and describe it. The most useful requests say what you're trying to do, how you do it today, and what the feature would change for you.
Something broken or not working as it should? Use Support instead. Bugs get fixed faster there.
- Each request gets a reference like
FR-00012. - You can have up to 10 open requests at a time, and not two open requests with the same title.
- Your requests are private: only you and the Informativ team can see them, unless the team puts one on the community board (below).
- You can also do all of this in the mobile app: menu β Support β Feature Requests.
The Community Board
The Community board tab lists requests the team has chosen to share with everyone. Vote for the ones you want too. The most-voted ideas get looked at first, and you're notified when one you voted for is Planned, In progress or Shipped. Tap your vote again to remove it. The board never shows who asked or the team's private reply, and the team can post a summary instead of the original wording. Declined, duplicate and withdrawn requests drop off; shipped ones move to the Shipped tab. Before you send a new request, check the board: voting for an existing idea counts more than a duplicate.
What Happens Next
The team reviews each request and moves it through Submitted β Under review β Planned β In progress β Shipped, or marks it Declined or Duplicate. They can add a response explaining the decision. Every time the status or response changes, you get a notification and an email, and you can see the latest on the request's page. While a request is still open you can Withdraw it from its page.
For Admins
Admin and Root get a notification and email for every new request. The queue is at Dashboard β Feature Requests (Admin section). Filter by status or area, or search by title or FR-number. The "Open by area" counts show where demand is. Open a request to set its status and write a response. Saving notifies the requester, and anyone who voted for it when it moves to Planned, In progress or Shipped. Tick Show on the community board to let everyone see and vote on it. Write a public description if the requester's wording mentions their business or anything private. The queue can be sorted by Most votes.
