An Onboarding Agent is someone we've authorised to set up Informativ accounts for people, in the app or on the website. They can create the account for you, fill in your details, switch on the features you need and get your business profiles ready. Then they hand it over to you.

1. Claim Your Account

When the agent creates your account we email you a Set My Password link. Nobody can sign in to the account, the agent included, until you claim it. You can claim it in any of these ways:

  • Open the link in the email and choose a password. The link works for 14 days.
  • Sign in with Google or Apple using the same email address.
  • After 14 days, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.

No email? Ask the agent to check the address they typed. Until you claim the account they can correct it and send the email again.

What the Agent Can and Can't Do

While they are setting up your account, the agent can edit your personal and contact details and your photos, switch features on or off, and set up your business profiles and listings: services, availability, policies, vehicles and products. They can never see or touch your money, payouts, banking details, orders or bookings, and they can never sign in as you. They show up in your Team list while they're helping you.

2. Take It Over

When everything is ready, sign in on your phone and open More β†’ My QR Code. The agent scans it with their phone or computer camera. You then get a notification asking you to take the account over. Open More β†’ Account handover in the app, or Settings β†’ Account Handover on the website, and:

  • Confirm handover: the account is fully yours and the agent's access ends for good.
  • Not yet: send it back to the agent to fix something. After the third "not yet" the onboarding ends.
  • End their access: do this at any time if you no longer want their help. Everything they set up stays yours.

Check your profile and business pages before you confirm. From then on you're responsible for the account, including what the agent set up.

Time Limits

If you don't answer a handover request within 7 days, it goes back to the agent, who can ask again. If the account isn't claimed within 30 days, the agent's access ends. You can still claim it later from the email or with Forgot your password?.

Becoming an Onboarding Agent

Agents are appointed by the Informativ team. The role can't be switched on from your profile. If you'd like to become one, contact support.
