Partners: Selling Tickets for Organizers

Partners

A Partner is an independent seller who sells event tickets on behalf of organizers, through the Direct Sale option in the mobile app, for a commission on every sale — the same way a team member sells tickets, but not tied to any one organizer's team.

1. Enable Partners

From Profile → Feature Access, turn on the Partners card. This grants you the Partner role and creates your partner profile.

2. Complete Your Partner Profile

Go to Dashboard → Partner and:

• Set your selling location — Mobile (no fixed location) or Shop. A shop seller must provide a complete physical address.
• Add your banking details — from Dashboard → Banking Details, and wait for Root to approve them.
• Set up two-factor authentication — required for every Partner account, from Profile → Security.
• Accept the Partner Agreement — shown in full on the Partner page.

The Partner page shows a live checklist of what's still missing. Once every item is complete, you're eligible to sell.

3. Selling Tickets

Once eligible, open Direct Sale in the mobile app — you'll see any event whose organizer has turned on partner sales for it, in addition to any of your own team-delegated events. Pick an event, pick ticket types and quantities, identify the customer, and complete the sale, exactly like any other direct sale.

Some organizers restrict partner sales to mobile Partners only or shop-based Partners only, rather than opening it to both — if an event you expect to see isn't listed, that may be why. This is set per event by the organizer, not something you can change.

4. Commission & Payouts

You earn a commission on every ticket you sell, credited straight to your partner account. Track your total earned and available balance on the Partner page, and see payouts the same way as any other earning — Dashboard → My Payouts. The commission percentage is set by Root and can change over time.
