Recording, rehearsal and podcast studios can list their rooms and services on Informativ and take bookings online. Bookings are instant: paying the deposit confirms the session.

Setting Up a Studio Venue

Pick a studio venue type (Recording Studio, Rehearsal Studio or Podcast / Content Studio) on your venue, or tick Commercial & Professional Space under Also offers. Then open the venue and choose Studios & Sessions β†’ Manage Studios.

For each studio, set:

  • Rates β€” per hour, and optionally a higher (or lower) after-hours rate.
  • Bookable hours for each day. They can run past midnight (e.g. 18:00 to 02:00); the same opening and closing time means 24 hours.
  • Business hours β€” session time inside them is charged at the normal rate, the rest at the after-hours rate. A session that crosses over is split by the minute.
  • A minimum session, a changeover gap kept free before and after every session, and whether a tech rider is required.

A new studio starts switched off. Switch it on when you're ready; it shows on your public venue page once the venue is available for booking.

Your Services

Under Studios & Sessions β†’ Services, list what you charge for on top of the room, each with its own price unit:

  • Per hour (e.g. engineer) β€” charged for the whole session, with its own after-hours rate if you set one.
  • Per session (e.g. session drummer) β€” once, times how many the booker asks for.
  • Per song (e.g. mixing) β€” times the number of songs.
  • Flat fee (e.g. mastering package) β€” once.

A service can be offered with all your studios or just one. Changes only affect new bookings.

Booking a Session

Open the venue's page, pick a studio, and choose a date, start time and length. Add any services, attach your tech rider (PDF, Word, text or an image, up to 10 MB β€” only the studio can see it), and see the full price before you pay. You need to be logged in.

  • Pay a 50% deposit to confirm. The time is held for 30 minutes while you pay.
  • The balance is due 48 hours before the session. We remind you a day before; pay it from Dashboard β†’ Venue β†’ My Studio Bookings. A session booked less than 48 hours ahead is paid in full straight away.
  • You can attach or replace your tech rider from My Studio Bookings until the session starts.

In the Informativ app: More β†’ Book a Room or Studio finds studios and books a session (tech rider included), and More β†’ My Room & Studio Bookings is where you pay the balance, cancel, or attach or replace your tech rider.

Cancelling

  • You cancel 48 hours or more before the session: everything you paid is refunded.
  • You cancel later than that: the studio keeps the deposit (half the total); anything you paid above it is refunded.
  • The studio cancels: you're refunded everything you paid.
  • If the balance still isn't paid when the session starts, the studio may cancel and keep the deposit.

For Studios: Bookings and Payouts

Studios & Sessions β†’ View Bookings lists upcoming, completed and cancelled sessions with the booker's details, the services booked, the price split between normal and after-hours time, and the tech rider to download. Each payment (deposit and balance) is credited to your balance as it's paid, less the studio booking commission.

In the app, More β†’ Meeting Rooms & Studios β†’ Bookings shows the same list, opens the tech rider, and lets you cancel, and More β†’ Meeting Rooms & Studios β†’ Set Up Rooms & Studios adds and edits studios (rates, bookable and business hours, tech rider, photos) and the services list, and switches them on or off, with the same rules as the web dashboard.
