Guide to Ticket Scanning
Door-staff check-in on the QR scanner, including offline.
Guide to Ticket Scanning
Door staff check attendees in from More → Scan Tickets. Point the camera at the QR code on the ticket and the app validates it against the event and tells you immediately whether the holder is in.
What the Result Means
- Valid β the ticket is good and now checked in.
- Already used β this ticket was already scanned. Don't let the holder in on a second scan.
- Wrong event β a genuine ticket, but for a different event.
- Not valid β the code isn't a ticket at all, or it was cancelled or refunded.
Whatever the outcome, the scanned code stays on screen so you can check it against the person in front of you, and your phone number is available to share if the holder needs support.
Offline Scanning
Scans work without a connection. Each one is cached locally to prevent the same ticket being accepted twice, and syncs automatically when you reconnect. A queued scan is not verified yet β if the server later rejects it, the offline queue shows why.
RSVP and reservation check-ins use the same scanner and the same queue, so one habit covers every kind of door.
